A(NU) Thought

 Have you ever faced writer’s block? I am sure most of us have. Not just limited to writing, but this ‘block’ troubles everyone irrespective of field, interest, and profession, at some point in life.  You could be a writer, painter, photographer, singer, film-maker, crafter, content creator, working in any profession, or just a simple human, who can think, you have certainly faced this block at one or the other point in your life. How do you overcome it? What do you do to let this block go or disappear? Do you read, write, watch your favorite shows, just talk about it to peers; or keep your work aside and focus on something else. Well, to me it feels as if this writer’s block has been consistent with me forever now. Alright, there are a few phases, when I am able to put down my thoughts on paper (and then key it in the system) and sometimes, even record them for my podcast. But I miss those days when I used to think and write so fluently that I would surprise myself. It has be...

Ever wondered, why do we love the one we do? 'Why do I love you?' I am sure many people, who have ever been in a relationship would have got this thought. It could be for different reasons. But when I think (to myself) that ‘why do I love you?’ or ‘why am I still in love with you?’ I (my heart) feel the need to answer myself (my brain) with a logical and practical reason.  Image clicked by Kishor HS.

I don’t get tired; no really, I do not get tired or bored at all narrating our story to anyone. Infact every new person I meet, I try to grab this opportunity to talk about us – You and I!   And I surprise myself when I realise that I still remember it all so well. Every single detail of 4 years of friendship, 4 years of long-distance relationship, and 7 years of being married. Well, can’t really say that about the last 7 years :P, but the first 8 years are like embedded in my DNA. Pic clicked by Sudipto Roy I think our story is unique. It’s beautiful. Just 15 years old but so much has changed in this one and half-decade. Or not much?

Article is dated: July 2016 This article was also published in  Writers Ezine  in December 2015 Well, December is when we celebrate our marriage anniversary :)    ------------------------- Picture Source It’s been three years since we are married and time just flies...yeah that’s a very clichéd line...perhaps I will say the same thing after 13 years and even after 30 years. 3..13..30 are all numbers modified into years and months and days, what actually counts is how we spend this time.  These 365 x 3 days gone by has left a lot of learning for me. Well, every day brings some sort of learning if one is ready to learn. These three years has not only taught me about our relationship but has also helped me analyze myself and yes understand you better too. :) The striking question

Dated: March 2013 For the first time in two months, the Kannada movie song sounded melodious to my ears. Of course, the Volvo bus drivers love it and that explains their preference for Kannada music over Bollywood songs. The radio stations were playing mushy love songs, as I gather from the lyrics that mentioned the word "preeti" more often. After all, it was Valentine’s Day. Until last year this day just used to be like any other day.
