A(NU) Thought

Those Unsaid Words by Anshuman Agrahar i is an interesting read that seamlessly blends Travelogues, Philosophy and Romance. The author has created a narrative that is both thought-provoking and emotionally engaging. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Manali, Leh, and Ladakh, the story takes readers on a journey through untouched valleys, majestic mountains, and serene lakes. The vivid descriptions of these landscapes provide a picturesque setting but also serve as a metaphor for the protagonist's inner journey. The story revolves around Tanvi, and her quest for true love. Her journey is not just a physical one through the rugged terrain of the Himalayas, but also a deeply personal exploration of her own emotions and desires. 

A few months back, I came across a digital advertisement of a Furniture brand offering a solution for couples who break up and move out of their relationship. Well, that's good but then, why??? The advertisement made me realise that people  don’t shy away from stating that romantic relationships today are similar to ‘2-minute noodles’. The essence of slow cooked biryani seems to be lost. ‘I call it ‘2-minute noodles’ because people want things to happen fast, if something doesn’t add up to their convenience. They easily prefer to break up and move on. Well, of course there are exceptions. In some cases, people don’t give up, while in others, people should.

सच कहते हैं लोग, life का कोई भरोसा नहीं, कभी भी कुछ भी हो सकता हैं. Especially, पिछले २ सालों ने तो यहीं सीखा हैं. इतना तो समज में आगया हैं की, nothing is permanent and nothing stays forever. Actually ना today, I am gonna be a little upfront in my conversation.  Just Imagine this - आज हम किसी के साथ बैठे हैं, हस - खेल के बातें कर रहे हैं and suddenly that person just vanishes… and हम उसी जगह पर बैठें हैं, अकेले... shocked and wondering वह कहाँ चलें गए, अभी तो बातें पुरी भी नहीं हुई थीं. 

Book : Unfulfilled Desires Kindle Edition Author : Rachi Publication : Half Baked Beans One look at the cover and you know that this book is about love story and romance; and you won’t be disappointed by picking up the book for that reason. The plot revolves around different colours of love, in this book Unfulfilled Desires authored by Rachi and published by Half Baked Beans (HBB).   The protagonist Avantika is reluctant to get into a relationship because of her scepticism in the same. she witnessed a tragic incident in her college days and hence she could not commit to anyone into a relationship. Walks in not 1 or 2 but 3 men who are potential partners for Avantika. However, her quest for understanding ‘what is love’ continues. The three men have different answers to her question ‘what is love for you?’ none of them seems to convince Avantika.

Ever wondered, why do we love the one we do? 'Why do I love you?' I am sure many people, who have ever been in a relationship would have got this thought. It could be for different reasons. But when I think (to myself) that ‘why do I love you?’ or ‘why am I still in love with you?’ I (my heart) feel the need to answer myself (my brain) with a logical and practical reason.  Image clicked by Kishor HS.

I don’t get tired; no really, I do not get tired or bored at all narrating our story to anyone. Infact every new person I meet, I try to grab this opportunity to talk about us – You and I!   And I surprise myself when I realise that I still remember it all so well. Every single detail of 4 years of friendship, 4 years of long-distance relationship, and 7 years of being married. Well, can’t really say that about the last 7 years :P, but the first 8 years are like embedded in my DNA. Pic clicked by Sudipto Roy I think our story is unique. It’s beautiful. Just 15 years old but so much has changed in this one and half-decade. Or not much?

Book : Love in the Time of WhatsApp Author : Multiple Publication: Juggernaut Love in the Time of WhataApp by Juggernaut is a collection of 12 short stories on love and relationship in today’s time.   It is amazing to see how 12 different thoughts come together to create something so simple, relatable yet edgy. Every author has a different style to highlight the speck of life (or fantasy) they have chosen to.

Book : The Anatomy Of Choice Author : Harshali Singh Publication: Readomania The Anatomy Of Choice authored by Harshali Singh and published by Readomania is a rewarding read. One of the rare pieces when I begin my review with my verdict. It’s been ages since I have read something as captivating as this. The plot revolves around Bhavya (Bee) and her perturbation and huff. It is about the choices she makes and how difficult she finds it difficult to accept the resultant consequences. In the process, she ends up ruffling her family members, her live-in partner and her ownself. The story also touches upon the goods and evils that resides parallelly within us; it reflects how sometimes we win over our demons while other times the evil gets better of us.

Book: Letters To My Ex Author: Nikita Singh Publication: HarperCollins (India) As the title of the book explains it is about conversation between two lovers turned exes just that it is in form of letters (mostly).   The story is about Nidhi and Abhay who break off their relationship at a very unexpected moment – their engagement. The entire storytelling is in the form of the letters; which tells the reader about their love, relationship, thought process, confusions. Some parts of the story took m e back to my teenage years.

Infact, most of the times life has surprises in store for us. The key is to play along and play it well. This is what you will find the protagonist -Amy doing in this book. Accepting the twists and turns life throws at her and running along with the stride. This the first book of PG Van that I have had a chance to read, and hence I didn’t have any set expectations. Good!  The story is about Amy, a young intern with a law firm (oh that just doesn’t matter). Book: Thank You Love Author: Ayush Gupta Publisher: Half Baked Beans In this day and age, it is not uncommon to fall in and out of relationships. People get into relationship (on trial basis) if they feel things are not working out, they break up and get into a new relationship. It’s fine! It’s the norm today, majority of our younger population follow it.  However, what is unusual is one of the partners unable to get over the break up and move on in life. It is not very common to see somebody being unable to believe that his/her partner has moved on and so should the person as well. This plot revolves around Rayan, who is madly and deeply in love with Akshita; however due to certain circumstances Akshita decides to break up this relationship and move on. 

Book: Someone To Love Author: Ruchita Misra Publisher: Harlequin  This book – ‘Someone to Love’ (STL) has refreshed the memories of SRK-Kajol-Rani starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai . I am sure each one of us who has been audience to that movie, will relate to the concept of love with friendship with it.  I wouldn't say the story is something new, but the treatment is and the simple yet captivating narration is something unique. It effortlessly holds readers’ attention. It's a simple love story turned sour and what happens next with their lives is what makes the story. So basically it’s a story of two childhood friends – Koyal and Atharv, inseparable. But one incident (which is revealed towards the end and I am not gonna give any hints) destroys this beautiful friendship.
